s Bacon Cheddar Quiche   

A hearty breakfast Quiche with the distinctive flavor of REAL bacon!

Yields: 6 Servings


1/2 pound bacon
1 cup chedder cheese (grated)
Chop 4 medium green onions
1 1/2 cup half and half or cream
4 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/4 cup Bisquick Mix
1/4 cup butter
2 tablespoons boiling water.

Heat oven to 400.
Cook lb bacon, drain on paper towel and crumble
Grease bottom and side of 9" pie plate.
Stir bisquick and butter till blended. Add boiling water. Mix well until all bisquick is absorded and forms a dough ball. Press dough in bottom and side of pie plate.
Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onions over crust.
In medium bowl beat eggs and half and half, salt and pepper until blended. Pour into crust.
Bake 35 - 40 minutes.

Note: the latest twist to this recipe is to make sliced fried potatoes and line the bottom and side of the pie plate with potatoes rather than the bisquick crust. Very yummy!
